When using Digital Signage, it is good to take a few things into account:
- Because Digital Signage allows for fast-paced content, it is generally not a good idea to have one piece of content on your screen for an extended period of time. Changing content helps get the viewer's attention.
- Because Digital Signage supports dynamic content, it is worth including video among your content. Visually engaging content is a great eye-catcher.
- Remember cohesion: do not use a different effect for every piece of content or have clearly clashing themes. "Less is more" also applies to glance media.
Generally speaking, 3 to 5 pieces of content is ideal. This way a passerby who only caught a glimpse of interesting content can wait for it to reappear (and see all your other content while waiting!). Too few pieces of content do not offer enough variation. Pay attention to the order in which the content is shown to make the most of your screen.
When planning your visuals, don't forget content that is inherited from higher levels.
