When you sign in to iDiD management, you will first see the view of the level your account was created on. You will see the home view that shows all the recent changes and logins of the current level and all the levels below it.

Levels In the level menu you can review the hierarchy within the limitations of your user rights. The content from higher levels is inherited at the lower ones on which it is displayed automatically. You can change the level by navigating on the level menu on the top left.

User Roles The iDiD management has several different user roles. Template editors have the most comprehensive user rights and they can design new templates by adding, editing and removing elements used in published content. The user permissions of a monitor allows the user to view players and content in the editor without editing any of them. The most common user rights allows slide editors, publishers and artists to edit certain features in content or templates. All of these roles can schedule and publish new content.

Widgets Depending on the level, there may be up to three different action buttons above the content. With the widgets, you can set a temporary emergency screen, enable the touch screen feature or add a clock face on the upper corner of the display. The action buttons may not exist on all levels.

Players A player is an application installed on a player PC that updates and displays the content scheduled for the screens. A player PC can be an external device or a a PC embedded in the screen. With the player menu you can check that the players are connected to the Internet. If the connection is lost, updates and new content will not be available to the player but material is displayed using the player PC's local memory. The material in HTML elements cannot be shown on the displays when there is not functional connection to the Internet.

Templates The templates are used to design the elements such as the color of the background, the location and size of images an text and whether certain elements, such as videos, are included in the published content. Templates are used as a model without schedule, and new content that is shown on the displays are created based on them. There can be several content with different images or text that are made using the same template.

Content Content is the most central part of digital signage screens and management. Content or a slide is scheduled collection of materials that are shown on digital signage displays. One display usually show several slides that can run on different schedules and contain different materials such as HTML content, text and images.

Files Files can be documents, images or images that can be displayed in content. The files to use are uploaded on the server after which you can used them in the manager. One file can be used in several slides at the same time.

Teleportti You can move in the hierarchy between levels using the level menu. If you have two parallel levels under your management but not their common level higher up in the hierarchy (for example, two offices in different branches of the organization but no access to the organization's main level), you can move between the levels using a so-called teleport menu.

Language Every user has a default language in the system, but they can change the language using the language menu in the home view. The selected language will be saved even if you sign out between sessions.
