A tailored solution for presenting YLE news on your iDiD screen

The Yle News feed is a tailored ready-to-use solution for both horizontal and vertical displays that you simply add as an html element.

When you start using the YLE news feed on your iDiD screens, please send us an informal notice by email on support@idid.fi

The base URL for the news feed:

You can present the news either as single slides or as a title list.

Additionally, you can customize the number of headlines shown as well as the change/scroll interval with a few additional parameters.

The parameters you can add to the original URL are:

count – the number of news headlines that are shown

interval – the time a single slide is shown or the scroll interval of a list in seconds

aihe – the news topic to be shown. Note that in English there is currently only one general feed. The topics (in Finnish) can be found at http://yle.fi/uutiset/rss

Use the parameter by adding a question mark (?) at the end of the base URL and after it the parameter(s), each separated by an ampersand (&). For example,

The order of the parameters after the base url is free, and not all of them have to be defined.

After you have created the url with all the parameters, copy it, add an html element in the content on the iDiD editor and paste the url in the URL field of the element. Remember to save the content you created.

The news topics you can use on the feed can be found on the YLE RSS page and are the following:
